As hard as it is to believe how well things went out there (relatively speaking, of course...) it is even harder to believe that its finally over.
Done. It feels very, very good to type that.
Thanks to Phil and Tom for the finish line greeting, and for tolerating my meatstravaganza needs for dinner.
At the moment I may be in more dire need of a shower than any white man in history. And it's warming up in here, so I gotta get to that.
More, so much more, later.
Thanks to all, for everything.

Gosh I hate to admit it, because I don't want your head to swell too much, (you know that man love thing), but you are a stud! Truely amazing job.
ReplyDeleteDoug B.
Congrats on your successful self-supported ride, Mike.
ReplyDeleteNow to wind down from your adventure, you need to ride across Iowa this summer in the blistering heat with 10,000+ drunk crazies in RAGBRAI. You'll have to eat a turkey leg every day, a pork chop on a stick every other day, eat church basement pie of all kinds every day, drink a beer every 10 miles whether you are thirsty or not, and wear a colorful costume the entire time. It's very challenging to accomplish all of that. ;-}
Congrats again!
Amazing.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the more and much more.
Well done.
Awesome achievement! Hope you are enjoying all the comforts of a warm interior and hot, hearty food.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear about the trip from your perspective. Scott's and Jill's posts were great, too.
