First of the breed of long-legged 29" trailbikes. Continually refined since 2006, and probably still the best.
Size medium. Built it new in March, haven't gotten to ride it much. Not nearly enough. Maybe 15 rides, total.
For reasons I'm still not quite able to put together, I have two of these. And while I consider it a measure of relative richness to be in that position, I can only ride one at a time. The other one, this one, has to go.
MRP Camber cranks and 32t ring. MRP Micro G2 guide/tensioner on the removable ISCG '05 tabs. Solid.
6", or if you speak metric, 150mm of rear wheel travel. 3:1 leverage ratio for the tech geeks means that the rear end is supple (only with 22 more p's) on the top of the stroke, with great mid-stroke control thanks to the Monarch Plus, and a beautiful ramp to bottom.
Fox 36 180 Van RC2 FIT, tapered steerer fork. "Modded" for 29" use. You get ~167mm of buttery smooth coil sprung travel. That's a 2.4" tire in there--plenty of room for a 2.5 with clearance for mud.
This fork is brand new--I limited the travel, cut the steerer, and bolted it onto the frame. Has not yet seen dirt.
Wheels and tires are also brand new--never been ridden, laced and shod last night.
DT Swiss 240s disc hubs laced to Stans Flow EX rims using DT Swiss Competition spokes and DT Prolock alloy nips. Stans tape and valves used to inflate the Maxxis tires tubeless. Ardent EXO 2.4 up front, Minion DHR EXO 2.3 rear. Moto.
Answer 780mm rise bars, Syntace SuperForce 40mm stem. Stiff and light and, most importantly, dependable.
RockShox Reverb 100mm post, WTB Volt NiCro saddle.
Hayes Prime Comp stoppers, 8" front rotor, 7" rear. Tool free reach adjust.
X.0 10 speed twister moving an X.9 rear der across an X.0 cassette. Light action, crisp, and smooth.
Oury lock-ons round out the package.
The frame and rear shock, headset, drivetrain, brakes, post, saddle, and grips have 15 rides on them, maybe 350 miles total.
Bars, stem, wheels, tires, and fork are new, never ridden.
At MSRP this is a $5300 package.
Considering the limited use and number/cost of new parts, I'm selling it for $3900 including shipping to the lower 48.
Will consider delivery as far as SLC, Denver, Durango, or anywhere in between.
