Skippy on the Fatillac.

Twice last week I was able to get out and shoot Skippy riding the Fatillac.

The first ride was more of a get-to-know-you sort of affair, where he rode some mellow well-known trails to get a feel for the bike and make any adjustments to suspension or fit that he felt needed to happen.

The second ride we headed S, W, and *up* to a private trail that he's been taking me to for better than a decade.  I've shot umpteen pics of it over the years in an effort to showcase how technically challenging it is.  Thing is, pics can never show what makes this trail difficult:  Loose, scrabbly, off-camber climbs that want to squirt your tire out from under you.  Blind drops with similarly steep and loose LZ's.  Really, really soft soil (because it's so infrequently ridden) everywhere in between.

I shot video of Skippy on both days in an effort to 'show' a little more of what this bike can do under a capable rider.

I had hoped to get out and shoot Jesse on it this week, but snow over the weekend turned our trails to goop soup so it's going to be a bit on that.

It's an amazingly competent and *fun* bike, capable of a lot more than we've thrown at it thus far.  Looking forward to getting healthy so that I can attempt to find it's limits.  Betting Jesse and Skippy will beat me to it...

Thanks for checkin' in.
