Packrafting Slaughterhouse.

I snuck in a lap of Slaughterhouse -- near Aspen -- with Jim Harris this morning.  So stinking much fun!  Fun, fast, engaging and rewarding, but never felt scary or dangerous.

Pretty much my favorite kind of paddling: "class fun".  Might have been the best run of the year thus far.

It's a few miles of continuous III+ that then mellows to III for the last few miles.  Lots of little surf waves, plus I lost count of how many rock/hole boofs there were.

Seeferyerownself:

~900cfs on the RF @ Emma gauge = ~650cfs in the river.  These flows might last through the end of the week.  Get it if you can!
