I could pick it up when he started, and he was managing to muscle it around to get off the trail and out of the way of the dogsleds teams. A week's worth of food is another 15-20 lbs (?)lighter, so it will get more managable as time goes on.

I'm sure some of the bike racers still out there are going to be humbled when he rolls through.
Great job on the updates!
EErichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04565341440837608907noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3943627808770318379.post-26467535296683642342008-03-01T23:08:00.000-07:002008-03-01T23:08:00.000-07:00Scott,I had the same thought when seeing Dave Hart...Scott,

I had the same thought when seeing Dave Harts photos of the gorge. How Mike hefted that obese bike through that, is beyond me.

I'm also wondering how Mike's food choices are playing out. He chatted about nutrition on this blog back in January(?) but never posted his final menu. I'm sure he'll share more of that sort of info when he returns from the Great North

Again, great work keeping us updated. Always nice to live vicariously through other peoples crazy-ass adventures!

Take care~ dave LAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3943627808770318379.post-74288516498465421712008-03-01T22:34:00.000-07:002008-03-01T22:34:00.000-07:00What a trek!
